The Marvine Yurt at the Marvine Trail in Meeker Colorado provides a scenic destination for winter enthusiasts.
This website was made in hopes of educating the people of Meeker and visitors about the history of Meeker and how it compares to what our great town is like today. Our website is very accessible and easy to search through and can be used by all age-groups.
Meeker is well known for hosting one of the largest elk herds in the world. That makes it easy to spot an elk if you take a drive in any direction from town but especially if you drive up the Flat Tops Scenic Byway along County Road 8.
The people who come to the Meeker Classic Sheepdog Trials are like family. They are loyal to not only the sheepdogs but to the community that hosts the Trials every year. Meeker is still planning to welcome everyone with open arms, even though the Trials have been postponed until September, 2021.
The Rio Blanco County Fair is very important to our community as well as to the kids who are involved with either 4-H or FFA.
The Mirror Lake Trail (FT 1821) offers excellent opportunities for hiking, camping, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, and fishing.
