About the Meeker Sled Dog Races

Meeker’s annual Sled Dog Races are held around the first weekend in March. Watch the dogs as they head off to the races, then meet the mushers and their dogs, try out the 1-mile cross-country course, enjoy food and just have some good winter fun! 

Race Information

4, 6 Dog Sled Sprint, Skijor 1-2 Dog, Sportsman/Recreational Sled 3-4 Dog and 1-3 Dog Skijor Classes

Starting Order:
8-dog Sprint class starting approximately 8:45 AM Saturday & Sunday followed by 6-Dog Sprint class, 1-3 Dog Skijor, 4-Dog Sprint class, 3-4 Dog Recreational/Sportsman Sled then1-3-Dog Skijor each day. All starts at 1-minute interval.

Directions to the race

take Hwy 13, turn right on County Rd. 8, 26 miles to County Rd. 12. Look for signs at the race site entrance.
